Google Adsense
Is arguably the industry behemoth and most well-known advertising network. Google Adsense offers contextual advertising service to its advertisers and publishers. In answer to a question of ‘why Adsense’ the following is stated on its website, “Google Adsense is a free, simple way for website publishers of all sizes to earn money by displaying targeted Google ads on their websites”. The targeted ads are termed contextual advertising meaning that they adjust to the context of the search or verbiage on the webpage. Applying to become a Google Adsense publisher is fairly straightforward and performing the steps to associate your website with the Adsense network, setting up your ads, affixing code and locating and placing the ads on your site is fairly straightforward as well. Be sure that your site has its own privacy policy or use the one that Google recommends and is okay with.
As far as revenue and payments, Google has the highest Ad rates based on my audience levels. They’ve recently added a new feature that has significantly bumped up my Adsense revenue over the past three months. Take a minute to review my post on Google Auto Ads and my recommendation is to set your account up with Auto Ads enabled fully as opposed to manually placing.
