The Incredible Multiplying Effect of Business Income
I love making money in my business! I’m sure you are thinking duh that goes without saying. The reason I mention it like that is that every dollar that I make in my business translates to a significant portion that I do not have to save to generate that same amount. And It becomes a rough approximation of my business valuation.
Business Valuation Approach
Look at it this way. When I make additional income in my business, that’s money that I don’t have to save or set aside in my personal life. That guarantees me a raise effectively even if I don’t get one working in someone else’s business (my 9 – 5 job). A little math example may help. Let’s say I earn $600 of business income. If I’m going to earn the same amount of money from my personal savings, I would have to save and invest a pretty significant sum of money. Let’s use an interest rate of 6%. It’s a little less than the historical rate of return of the stock market so is something that is achievable for most investors. So, the amount of money needed to earn $600 in interest is simply the dollar amount divided by the interest rate or $600 / .06. That comes out to $10000. Thus, I would need to save or come up with $10000 and have it invested at a 6% rate of return to earn $600. So, in a real sense, the $600 earned in business income has an equivalent effect of adding $10000 of wealth, to me personally, at that particular rate of return. Some math aficionados are already likely saying hey wait a minute won’t the $10000 change if you change the interest rate. What if you are able to earn 8%, what does that mean? Well, $600 earned at an 8% interest rate only requires $7500 to be saved. To make things equivalent to the 6% scenario we would need to scale things up. 8% is 33% more than 6% so the $600 figure should be multiplied by 1.33 which gives you $800. Dividing $800 / .06 now gives you the equivalent of $13333 of additional wealth. This is the new and greater amount of money I would be required to save in my personal savings and thus represents a higher theoretical business valuation.
How I am Earning Business Income
That said I assiduously take opportunities to generate income from sites I’ve mentioned before, Clickworker and Microworker for micro jobs, QMEE and PaidViewPoint for surveys, Google Adsense and Viglink for website ads and affiliate income, Inbox Dollars (which is new) for getpaidto or GPT opportunities, Prosper for peer to peer lending and stock and option trading. And I am working to secure opportunities in sponsored content marketing.
A quick few words about each:
Clickworker
Clickworker is a micro job site which pays you various sums of money for performing all types of short time length tasks. They range from a few cents per task to a few dollars per task. Clickworkers now pays out once a month. The payouts go directly to my PayPal account. I’ve had no, meaning zero, issues with payments our payout from Clickworker. If you’re interested you can sign up from my link (Clickworker).
Microworkers
Microworker, like Clickworker, is a micro job site that pays you various sums of money for performing all types of short length tasks. In my opinion, it’s like Clickworker on steroids. You can probably make money on Microworker anytime you go on to the site. For me, there isn’t enough available time to perform all of the Microworker jobs that are listed. There are click/search jobs, surveys, signups, promotions, commenting jobs… If you’re going to signup for Clickworker I would recommend also signing up with Microworkers to amplify your earning potential. Microworker pays out to PayPal but you must minimally request a payout of $9 at a time. Microworker also charges a 7.5% fee upon payout. Other than the initial payout request I have had no issues with payouts from Microworker. The first payout request was quickly resolved with an email.
QMEE / PaidViewPoint
I’ve written about QMEE and PaidViewPoint survey sites, QMEE is one of the few sites I’ve come across that will payout any amount you’ve earned upon request. They too payout to PayPal. PaidViewPoint is a survey site that guarantees earnings for every question answered. This is true! Their minimum payout threshold is $15 and they too payout to PayPal. Also, each site pays for referrals to their sites. QMEE is a one-time payment of $1, PaidViewPoint is an astounding $25 with no limits on referrals with a lifetime 30% payout from their earnings. If you’re doing these survey sites, I recommend using these two together to amplify your earnings. You can sign up for them here (QMEE, PaidViewPoint).
VigLink
Viglink is an affiliate site that works by adding links to your blog content. Viglink was recently purchased by Sovrn / Commerce. Viglink pays out amounts above $15 and also pays out to PayPal. You can supplement Viglinks autolinking by applying direct links to your website or blog from advertisers on their site. The key is being sure the product or service matches your blog or site content. I really like Viglink because it’s quiet. Many times, I will see clicks and revenue from sites and wonder how or where the link was applied. However it was applied or whatever forces encouraged someone to click, they are effective. You can sign up for Viglink thru my link (Viglink).
Google Adsense
Google Adsense, the behemoth of internet advertisers is far and away the most valuable to me for long term income monetization. It’s dependable, reliable and effective. Review my post on using Google Adsense Auto Ads to take the guesswork out of ad placement. The payout threshold is fairly high at $100 but is attainable once you get your site(s) up and running and established.
InboxDollars (get paid to)
Finally, the newbie on the block and one I’ve just signed up with this year is a getpaidto (GPT) site called InboxDollars. InboxDollars reminds me a lot of Microworkers with the sheer number of ways you can earn money. To start they give you $5 for signing up. From there you get paid to read email, answer survey questions, take surveys, play games, watch videos, sign up for offers. Let me pause there, the offers on InboxDollars are of high quality. I recently signed up for Acorns (which I’ll post about later) and received compensation from Acorns as well as InboxDollars. The payout threshold is $30 and is also payable to PayPal or by check with a $3 service charge. I just requested payout and it appears the first service charge is comped as they gave it back to me and then offered another $2 for taking a survey about the site. I think that speaks of the quality of the service that they surveil themselves to determine areas of improvement. Anyway, the payment threshold seems a little high but is easily achievable with participation in two or three offers, a few surveys, and email review earnings. One point, earnings for activities are credited to scratch off opportunities. The scratch-off increments are maximum $10, $25 or $100. And that’s where the ‘magic’ of sorts lies. You can scratch off for say 5 cents or dependent or the maximum value you choose, scratch off for $10, $25 or $100. I recently scratched off for and won $100. I was already well on my way to the $30 minimum already at the time I won. If you’re interested in a GPT opportunity, I highly recommend InboxDollars. You can signup thru my link (InboxDollars).
If you do sign up for any of the sites/services I’ve recommended shoot me a note to let me know if you find the sites of value and or need assistance learning the systems.
