SEO Meta Description Challenges and Crowd Funded Real Estate Investment Opportunity

I can’t believe it’s almost been a month since I last wrote something, time is flying by like crazy…unbelievable. Anyway so I ran my experiment and have not really seen a boost in traffic and as I attempt searches with similar search phrases to my (Meta Description) I am only able to find my page with the exact SEO title I created. So the strategy is still not working. I need to really begin to lock into how to match the Meta Description to my page content which kind of sucks since there are so few words that I can use. I seemed to have better results on my first site without Yoast when the search engine was reviewing all the text on the page. I’ll keep working with it and have to since it’s very difficult to ‘un-Yoast’ but my next site will utilize some other SEO program or none at all. On a more positive note, I did add another investment opportunity to the monetization strategy page, it’s a real estate investment trust fund company called Fundrise.com. REITs are not new of course but this was/is not ‘publicly’ traded and thus less susceptible to overall market whims, i.e. if the majority of stocks on the exchange decline then the REITs decline as well even if the underlying assets are actually performing well. You eliminate that correlation with non-publicly traded investments. The minimum investment amount is low, $1000, and this fits well with the Prosper (peer to peer lending) investment opportunity where funds are theoretically always invested and thus perpetually earning interest or dividends (Pert ). Speaking of investment / investing, I’d been meaning to describe myself in Robert Kiyosaki speak. I would have to say I am an Investor at heart as opposed to a business person, at least at this moment. I think it’s important to understand that about oneself. This topic is from ‘The Casheflow Quadrant’ book.

The book was written over 20 years ago and that was a bit ahead of its time or perhaps just in time for today’s internet-based Entrepreneurs. I have a link to the Robert Kiyosaki ‘Rich Dad’ series here and on my resources page.

Oh yes, I have also now set up a Pinterest account and actually made my first pin. I’ll add a link to Pinterest once I get a better feel for what I should be doing. Hey as all of the successful folks in the internet marketing space have said, ‘just do something’ and then begin to correct and adjust as you receive feedback. And finally, I’ve been using Easynote (free) for my project tracking software and I was surprised to learn that though I felt as though I weren’t necessarily progressing on my action list I actually knocked out a few of the items I listed back in March. I highly recommend Easynote for those on a shoestring budget like myself. Use it to capture ideas and organize and take action on tasks. Till the next time…

Income Investing Resource and Pinterest

Continuing in the vein of investing. I have reacquired access to a very useful site for similar like-minded individuals who are, looking to make the money they’ve earned or committed to their business, earn money. The site is called www.QuantumOnline.com and is tailored towards individuals and entities looking to generate additional streams of income. The site is all about income investing, exchange traded debt, preferred and trust preferred stocks, convertible stocks, master limited partnerships…etc. These securities pay interest or dividends on an annual, bi-annual, quarterly or monthly basis in some cases and thus have the potential to generate a steady stream of revenue from available cash. As I noted in my last post I am an investor at heart and am always looking for ways for my funds to work while I am sleeping. I think this approach is quite useful for those who are starting out on the web-based business journey like me and who while working to ‘crack the code’ so to speak need their business to still generate revenue as we spend time developing and working our sites and attempting to generate and monetize additional ideas and projects. Also, check out my Pinterest board which links to a site that explains how to start investing with as little as $500. I found the ideas to be generally on-point.
