Entrepreneurial Growth – From 2/14/17 & 3/6/17 (1 Hour a Day and Productivity, Green Shoots & Steady Revenue Progression and Opportunities)
Holy cow. With the second site up I am crazy busy and if an hour a day was already difficult when I last posted it is doubly difficult now. There is sooo much to do and new actions keep popping in my head. But mainly I need to get to a point where things are sort of stabilized so I can go study things like SEO strategy or how to build my email list. I have traffic, not huge amounts but enough to see and notice. At this point now I’m adding the same monetization tools (almost the same) to the 2nd site so I potentially get double the benefit while I try to find some time for self-education. That said the ad revenue is increasing, more like once or a couple times a week now as opposed to once a month. Still not huge amounts, but enough to be excited about and know that the ship is headed in the right direction. Oh yes I received my first link back from a reputable site for the first website. I’m so happy (proud)! With the 2nd site I ran across a couple related sites that would seem like good candidates for approaching for a link or for guest post opportunities. I was extremely pleased with my monetization write-ups on the 2nd site especially the last one. I kind of felt that I really hit my groove in writing that one and know that it’s something to be proud of and something I can stand behind and know that it communicates a true monetization method for an individual so inclined. So to force myself to follow through I’m writing my next few tasts here / committing myself, since I have so little time to create lists and tasks.
My next three educational assignments are:
-
learning and executing the Yoast and SEO recommendations
-
learning and completing free study material on creating email lists
-
creating a page to begin promoting affiliate products (2nd site)
-
setting up ebay and / or amazon affiliate IDs
-

Steady Revenue Progression and Opportunities
I’ve said this a few times but the time seems to fly by between write-ups. I’ve finished my training course for the day job, it was six weeks and at the end became extremely time consuming but I’m glad I took the training.
Of course that’s not the reason for this post. This post is about revenue progression and opportunities that have recently presented themselves thru one of my affiliate relationships. I created an ‘epic’ page of sorts about monetization techniques I was using to generate multiples income sources from my business. As I was preparing that post I logged into my various accounts looking for the referral links in case others were interested in joining. And low and behold on my Commission Junction link I discovered that they use your profile description to generate relationships offers from Advertisers in their network. A relationship basically means that you are authorized to represent their products, if you so choose, as an affiliate. This is the reverse of you requesting to become an affiliate for a particular company. That’s what I meant by Opportunities as some of these Advertisers are companies you would have never been able to locate on your own since there are so many. I think this is an invaluable service for it’s Publisher members as it creates additional potential income streams to aid revenue progression.
On the revenue progression front, I’m really beginning to see a pick up in my advertising impressions thru Chitika and Adsense. I’m satisfied with Adsense as I have no real alternative baseline to compare it against. I’m watching Chitika, as the rates appear to be a little low. But more positively I am seeing steady almost daily revenue updates via Adsense. I passed a huge barrier (for me) with Adsense on the 1st of March. This has kept my motivation high. And I am well pleased that I am now able to generate longer pieces of meaningful content for others. I offer encouragement to others who are starting their journeys and to those who are in the midst and maybe not seeing the results that they envisioned. Stay the course if it makes sense for you to do so. Review my posts, as I have lots of ups and downs and fits and starts.
